Smiles I've Captured

I like to capture happy moments in my life, hence the picture above. One more fact about me is that I love to take pictures. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'll take pictures. I like to capture things that make me in awe, moments that I would like to remember forever, beautiful scenery, and the smiles of people around me. I remember a quote that said, "A photograph is a pause button on life." This is me showing my own version of the pause button. These photos are some of my favorites in my gallery. Like everybody, every picture that I've captured has a story. It's a reminder that I'm not alone and that I'm blessed to have these beautiful people around me, that life is beautiful and to keep living. Even though there are days that I'm sad, there are days where I'm mostly happy. A photo for me is a reminder that I'm living, that I'm loved, that I'm blessed, and that I'm happy.

Book Recommendations: Pages I Turned

The books in the picture above are the ones I would recommend for you to try and read. Each of these books offers its own unique wisdom and perspective. You can choose which one resonates with you the most, depending on your interests and reading preferences. I hope if ever one of your tries, you will have the same experience I had when I read these books. I hope you learn new things and enjoy them. These books will teach you many lessons that, like me, you'll carry with you in your lifetime. To be honest, I have many books to recommend, like The Great Gatsby, Little Women, Jane Eyre, Great Expectations, The Lord of the Rings, and so much more. I hold these books close to my heart. I probably read a whole library because I tried many genres. It mostly depends on my mood or my curiosity to learn something new. The books above are the ones I would recommend to a reader with the same taste or reading preferences as mine. I've experienced every emotion known to man because of r...

Life as a HUMSS student

Being a HUMSS student is a wonderful experience. It's a journey filled with intellectual exploration, social awareness, personal growth, and a deep understanding of humanities and how our world works. Being a HUMSS student means embracing history, literature, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and more. It's a curriculum that will challenge you to think critically and learn how to analyze complex issues and ideas that have shaped our society. My experience taught me many life lessons, such as that no matter how hard you avoid getting out of your comfort zone, you will find yourself doing just that, while also realizing that trying new things is not an awful experience but a life-changing one. Here, you'll learn to build and develop your confidence by engaging in so many extracurricular activities that you need to socialize, interact with other people, do public speaking, and perform in front of people. That's why personal growth is one of the perks of being a HUMSS stud...

Know Me Better

Welcome to my blog everyone! 💋 In the land of words, I've found my own story. A tale of a teen girl who dances through the pages of books. Hi! I'm Kate Russell Flores, currently a grade 12 student at PCU, studying HUMSS. I just turned 17 last september. I'm a bookworm, who loves literature like no other. Here you'll discover the magic of literature in the eyes of a teen girl, rolled into one delightful blog. Join me on a journey through the realms of imagination, where my love for reading and a dash cuteness collide. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but for me, a book can paint a million pictures.
